Bots, Bots and Bots
The server has an activated roster of Bots that can be utilized to help a player out in all group activities. This allowes solo players or smaller groups to add bots to their party or raid groups, something which can be needed to reach higher tiers of the Individual Progression ladder. There are a few different styles of bots. Most will control and act the same, but there are some differences in regards to how to add them and set them up. The Altbots (using characters from your account) have the most unique behaviour and can be tailored to level up alongside of you by completing quests, learning trade skills etc. Though it is possible to use a full group of these bots from level 1 to effectively level five characters at once it is not recommended due to the extreme upkeep in micromanagement. For new players and players who are looking for a less demanding experience, we recommend using the Playerbots which can be summoned on demand and be synced and geared to yur level.
When starting out using bots, we highly suggest making use of the Multibot Addon to get up and running quickly. Even if it lacks some more advanced controls which might be needed for end game raiding, it's a great tool for running a small group in the open world or easier dungeons.

Randombots:
- Simulated players in the world.
These bots populate the world at all times. They grind mobs, do quests and group together with other Randombots to complete harder content.
You can invite these bots to group with you, either if you meet them in the world or from the "Who Is"-list.
Once dismissed from a group, they return to their previous activities.
- Used for:
When you want a random group experience in dungeons, raids or in the world.
Playerbots:
- On demand group members.
These bots are generated as needed and can be used to bring a bot in at your level with suitable gear for a group activity of your choice, either in the world, in dungeons or even raids.
Once logged out, these bots return to the ether. They don't populate the world and are ready to be resummoned for more activities at any time.
- Used for:
When you want a controlled group experience in dungeons, raids or in the world.
Altbots:
- Group with your alts.
Altbots are simply other characters from your accout and they can be summoned and grouped with and leveled alongside of you.
They will complete the quests you complete, can be trained in craft skills, and be geared as you see fit. Any progress done with the Altbots is persistent on those characters.
Once logged out, these bots simply log out. They are your characters and can be played as any normal alt on your account.
- Used for:
When you want to level several characters at once.
Bot Behaviour
Bots are controlled by saved strategies and direct orders. The strategies are tags placed on the bot that dictate their overall behaviour inside and outside of combat. Direct orders are given to bots to override their strategies for a single action and are helpful for specific events that may come up during gameplay.
Strategies:
- Persistent behaviour.
Strategies are tags placed on your bots that allow them to act in a certain way. There are numerous strategies and the combination you design around these will determine the role and behaviour of a bot in a group.
- Used for:
Making a Warrior tank a single target, forcing a paladin to act as offtank, setting a priest to conserve mana and save power for healing, etc.
Commands:
- One-off actions.
There a several commands that can force your bot to act outside of their strategies. This is helpful if you need a bot to do something specific RIGHT NOW and not wait for the strategy to figure it out down the line.
- Used for:
Override strategies with a forced action, like making a mage cast polymorph on that specific target, tell the bot to
Bot adding and setup
Adding a bot is done differently depending on the bot. Randombots can be invited from the Who list, from inviting them by right clicking them in the world or from using chat commands just as you would another human player. These bots can not be altered in level or gear, but you can force them to respec their talents to a role suited for your group. This will not change their gear though, so be mindful when picking spec depending on class.
Playerbots are added through the .playerbot command. These bots can then be initialized to reach your level and then automatically geared to be equipped with level appropriate equipment, limited to grey, white and green gear.
Altbots are also added through the .playerbot command. You can use chat commands to level sync these alts to your level, but they will risk becoming out of sync with quest progression and they will be rerolled, forcing you to setup their talents again. Automatically gearing your altbots will overwrite and destroy the previously worn equipment so be carefull with these commands.
